‘World class’ striker has started to explore whether it’s possible to move to Liverpool

Kylian Mbappe’s name is one that always gets linked with Liverpool. From the very beginning of his career, Liverpool have always kept an eye on the 25-year-old Frenchman. But a move has never materialised.

Right now, given the uncertainty around the club, Mbappe seems like a forward who is simply unattainable for Liverpool. Sure, Liverpool are one of the biggest teams in world football. However, no one can truly know how the Reds will be like once Jurgen Klopp leaves the club.

It’s been nine years since Liverpool have had a different manager. And a lot has changed in nine years. Not just in football but in the world. Given this cloud looming over Liverpool, you wouldn’t blame players if they chose other options – until at least there is more clarity over Klopp’s successor and the club’s new sporting director.

Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool latest

Yet despite this according to a report by the Independent, Kylian Mbappe is still exploring the possibility of moving to Liverpool. The Frenchman has also done the same with Arsenal after his move to Real Madrid seems to have gone cold. But the report claims that neither Liverpool nor Arsenal are willing to upset their wage structure.

That makes any possible move unlikely. No matter how brilliant Mbappe is. He is simply a world-class talent. Even though he is available on a free contract as well – unless Mbappe adjusts his wage demands – which is extremely unlikely – Liverpool will look at other options.

At this stage it looks like an impossible deal for Liverpool to pull off. Mbappe is a player who will always be out of Liverpool’s grasp. No matter how often the media links or associates his name with the Reds.

Barring some unforeseen circumstances that situation will not change in the considerable future. So a summer move to Mbappe definitely should be ruled out at this stage.
