One thing Jurgen Klopp has done exceptionally well this season is the way he has integrated the club’s young players into the first team. The Liverpool boss has always been active in this area. But this season in particular he has taken Liverpool to another level.
A myriad of the club’s stars have caught the eye over the course of the campaign. Some like Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley are now probably considered as first-team players as well – so impressive have they been under the Liverpool boss.
But it’s not just two two. Others have impressed in batches including Owen Beck – who has had an interesting season so far. From being loaned out to Dundee FC, to coming back to Liverpool and then being loaned back to Dundee again.

Jurgen Klopp surprised by what happened to Owen Beck
Speaking in his press-conference yesterday, Klopp admitted he was surprised to see Beck struggle for game time while out on loan in the past.
“Owen as well, like Calvin, had previously a difficult loan spell,” Klopp said as per the club’s official website.
“He didn’t play in Portugal, came back here and was at Bolton as well [as Bradley] and didn’t play there either, so we were all like, ‘How can that happen?’ because we really think highly of him. So, he goes to Scotland, is playing there and it gave him a massive boost. He arrived here and looked like a man, really, left-back, really ready to go. And now, the other boys are coming back we have the opportunity to give him that time [on loan] again, it makes sense.”
Beck is obviously still highly regarded at the club. He’s now back at Dundee, where he is thriving once again. On his return to the club he immediately registered an assist against Aberdeen, which is exactly what you want to see from the 21-year-old.
