Liverpool are not expected to be active for the remainder of the transfer window. The only area where there is expected to be activity is on the loan transfer front. The Reds have already sent out several young players on loan, but more are expected to leave before the January window shuts close.

Among them could be a player who has never yet gone out on loan. Despite being one of the standout performers in the academy, Mateusz Musialowski hasn’t quite earned a temporary move away. But that could be about to change very soon.

There is one club in particular, who is reportedly interested in the 20-year-old Polish attacker midfielder. And they could look to loan him this month.

Mateusz Musialowski transfer latest

According to the Daily Mail, Birmingham City are one of the clubs interested in taking Mateusz Musialowski on loan this month. Musialowski has been deemed a ‘special’ player by expectant Reds supporters in the past. Although, he is yet to fulfil his full potential.

He’s been very dominant at academy level. But he still hasn’t quite earned a call-up to Jurgen Klopp’s first team. And at this stage of his career, with Musialowski already 20-years-old, he definitely needs experience in a senior environment.

Moving to the Championship could be the perfect move. Birmingham are struggling in the league right now, but it’s a golden opportunity for Musialowski to come in and make his mark. He’s got the ability to cause problems to any defender, especially in one vs one situations and could be a real creative and offensive spark.
