Calvin Ramsay’s last 18 months since joining Liverpool have definitely not turned out the way he would have imagined. The 20-year-old arrived with so much promise – but his time has been hampered by injuries.
Last summer when Ramsay was sent out on loan to Preston North End – it was supposed to be an opportunity for him to get his career back on track. But if anything, his time at Preston has only derailed it further.
Through no fault of his own Ramsay continued to struggle with injuries at Preston and then also contracted Covid-19. His illness ruled him out for several weeks. Facing a gargantuan climb to get back into the team – Liverpool have thusly recalled him.

Calvin Ramsay message
Ramsay is expected to go out on loan again by the end of the month. And Liverpool will hope wherever he goes will be the best possible destination for him.
Before returning to the club, Ramsay has also sent a message to his former fans at Preston, thanking everyone at the club as well.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram to post the following message:
“Thanks to everyone @pnefcofficial players, staff and fans enjoyed my time and wish yous the best for the future!”
It’s good that Ramsay harbours no ill will from his time at the club. Liverpool still have extremely high hopes for the future. The target now will be for Ramsay to play as much football as possible in the next few months.
