Jamie Redknapp says Liverpool have a player who Anfield love but he’s really not ‘easy on the eye’

Liverpool proved too much to handle for Fulham at Anfield in the end. The away side looked like they might just pull off a remarkable victory. But it was close but no cigar in the end for the visitors.

Liverpool cruised to control in the second-half with a brilliant performance and thanks to some stunning individual performances including that of Darwin Nunez, who came on and completely changed the game for Liverpool.

The Uruguayan’s two assists were what made the difference for the Reds, but away from those goal contributions Nunez’s overall performance was also brilliant. He just kept being a nuisance to the opposition and caused Fulham plenty of problems.

What was said about Darwin Nunez

Speaking on Sky Sports, Jamie Redknapp was in awe of Liverpool’s number nine and the way he made an impact on the pitch.

“He’s a centre forward so of course you will get judged on goals but what I like about him and what I’m sure Jurgen Klopp likes about him is that he brings a chaos factor,” Redknapp explained.

He then went onto say how Nunez may not be ‘easy on the eye’ but that this isn’t necessarily a negative.

“The crowd adore him, they love him, they want to see him up the pitch. I’m sure he absolutely thrives off it. He’s not the easiest on the eye at times but he makes things happen, he gets ricochets. That’s what you need sometimes as a striker. He’s mobile and aggressive. He can score all types of goals but not always enough of them.”

We have to agree, Nunez is really fun to watch. And he does make things happen on the pitch. He was the difference last night for Liverpool
