All if well that ends well. Things didn’t look pretty for Liverpool in the first-half against Fulham tonight, but in the end, Jurgen Klopp’s men came back to do what they do best – win football games.

In the second-half, Liverpool came back with aplomb and were completely changed. The Reds ran Fulham rampant creating chance after chance and always looked like they were going to claw their way back from the one goal deficit.

In the end, a deflected Curtis Jones strike was enough to get the job done. Before Cody Gakpo finished things off for the Reds.

BBC pundit on the two players who changed the game in Liverpool vs Fulham

Speaking on the BBC, Dion Dublin signalled out two players in particular, who looked really dangerous and the substitutions that he believes changed the game for Liverpool.

“Wave after wave of Liverpool attack, they are looking very dangerous, particularly down that right hand side with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez. Those two substitutes have made the difference for Liverpool.”

Darwin Nunez coming on definitely changed the game for Liverpool. The Uruguayan was in completely inspiring form and got the two decisive assists in the game.

Dublin is right – he was the key. Just as the other substitution, Cody Gakpo proved quite useful as well getting the winning goal.
