Clinton Morrison was left impressed by two of Liverpool’s players last night in their 5-1 League Cup win against West Ham.
The Reds enjoyed one of their most dominant performances of the season after tearing apart David Moyes’ side at Anfield, with a semi-final clash against Fulham now pencilled in.
And for Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, the midfielders were two of Liverpool’s best players on the night, with the former scoring twice and being named Man of the Match.
Indeed, it was a sensational performance from the duo, and BBC Sport pundit Morrison, speaking on Football Daily, was full of praise for the Liverpool youngsters.

Morrison said when asked if Jones deserved to be named Man of the Match: “Not in the first half, I would have said it was Harvey Elliott or Szoboszlai, those two were outstanding, particularly Harvey Elliott.
“But I think why Curtis Jones got the MOTM was for his two goals, if Harvey Elliott gets a goal, maybe he gets it, but he [Curtis Jones] was brilliant.”
Liverpool have to use West Ham performance as a springboard

After Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Manchester United, questions are starting to be raised over whether Liverpool have the quality to really go for the Premier League title.
Yet last night’s win against West Ham might have just put all those fears to bed, with Jones and Elliott showing why they’re two of the best youngsters in the English game.
With the likes of Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai also impressing, it was the perfect game for many out-of-form Liverpool players to find their spark again.
And heading into Saturday’s massive Premier League clash against Arsenal, there will be confidence in getting a famous win against the league leaders before Christmas Day.
