Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz has now detailed if he will leave the Italian giants in the January transfer window, after links to Liverpool.

The Reds are reportedly interested in signing the 18-year-old Turkish international, with Yildiz regarded as one of the best young players in all of Europe.

Reportedly valued by Juventus at £34m, Liverpool’s interest is not going away anytime soon, though recent comments from Yildiz could throw a massive spanner in the works for the Reds.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, the attacking midfielder revealed that he is yet to speak to the club about a January exit, with Yildiz featuring for the Juventus senior team this season.

Indeed, with Liverpool yet to make a move for the youngster, all signs point to Yildiz staying in Turin once January is done and dusted, with the forward seemingly eager to stay.

Yildiz said when asked about a January exit from Juventus: “Did I talk to Giuntoli [Juventus’ sporting director] about January? No, he’s a tough guy, too tough for me to deal with him.”

Yildiz has all the makings to become an outstanding player in the years to come, and it now seems all-but likely that the youngster will stay at Juventus.

The 18-year-old’s latest comments seem to suggest that the player isn’t willing to depart Turin just yet, with Liverpool also not making an official moves for Yildiz.

As a result, the Reds could be set to miss out on the Turkish international, with a Juventus stay probably for the best for Yiildiz heading into 2024.

Although Liverpool could revisit Yildiz in the summer, it could be more of the same for the Reds if they were to reignite their interest in the youngster.
