Trent Alexander-Arnold has named Mohamed Salah as the hardest-working player he’s ever seen in Liverpool’s squad.

The winger made history on the weekend after scoring his 200th goal for the Reds, establishing himself as a modern Liverpool legend and one of the club’s most prolific players.

And speaking to Bein Sports, Alexander-Arnold has sung Salah’s praises, with the defender in awe over what his teammate has managed to achieve at Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold said: “If I’m lucky enough to have kids and grandkids, it’s not the goals and assists I’ll talk about, it’ll be about the way he applied himself and the inspiration he was to the players around him and the role model and leader he was.

“He’s the most professional player I’ve ever been privileged enough to share a pitch with, the hardest working and most dedicated to his craft This hasn’t just happened overnight, he worked hard and he’s reaped the awards for it.

“He’s someone who will go down in the history of Liverpool, the Premier League and all of football for what he’s achieved, he will have that legend status.”

Alexander-Arnold is already on his own course to become a Liverpool legend in his own right, and the defender feels like all of us when talking about Salah.

The 31-year-old winger is one of the best attackers to ever player for Liverpool and will leave the club a legend of both the Reds and the Premier League.

And it’s easy to see how Salah got where he is now based on Alexander-Arnold’s comments, with the forward putting everything into his game to become the best there is in England and beyond.
