Trent Alexander-Arnold’s goal against Manchester City was one of the highlights of the season for Liverpool, and Kosta Tsimikas has now lauded the defender.
The Greek international started at left-back on Saturday and impressed as Liverpool’s defence let Alisson Becker off the hook in what was a shaky performance for the Brazilian keeper.
Yet it was Tsimikas’ fullback partner that stole headlines, with Alexander-Arnold scoring a fantastic goal in the 80th minute to rescue Liverpool a vital point.

The finish was an exceptional one and one that has now seen the Liverpool defender be compared to Erling Haaland, and Tsimikas was pleased with what he saw.
Tsimikas said via Liverpool’s official website: “Of course he is confident, we are Scousers you know! I can’t imagine how calm he was because if that was me, I couldn’t stay calm!
“The player he is, you can’t describe it. Everybody in the football world knows. It was a very good goal, very important and I am very happy for him and for the team.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold has blow the title race wide-open with Manchester City finish

A single goal has the chance to change the entire outcome of an entire season, and Alexander-Arnold might have done just that for Liverpool over the weekend.
The late goal stopped City from claiming a vital three points that might have Pep Guardiola’s side on an incredible winning run that the Manchester side seemingly manages to do every season.
Yet Alexander-Arnold has now changed the script entirely, with the Premier League title race wide open as we head into December and the festive period.
Indeed, there’s not telling who will win the league this season, but with three contenders in play, Alexander-Arnold could be responsible for creating an exciting second-half of the campaign.
