PSG manager Luis Enrique has claimed that he’s ‘not happy’ with reported Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe continued his terrific form for PSG on Saturday, scoring all three goals in a 3-0 win over Reims. But despite the Frenchman’s hat-trick, Enrique wasn’t happy.
In quotes via journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter after the game, the Spanish coach sent a rather bizarre barb Mbappe’s way.
“I’m not really happy with Kylian today,” Enrique admitted. “I have nothing to say about the goals. But he can help the team more, in different ways. He’s world class player, we want more.
“I’m going to talk to him about it first, it’s private.”
Enrique unhappy with Mbappe
If there’s one reason that Liverpool fans wouldn’t welcome Mbappe to the club with open arms, it’s all the drama that seems to come with him.
There’s no doubt that the 24-year-old is a terrific player. He might just be the very best in the world.
But there always seems to be something going on. From his very public spats with PSG, to his will-he-won’t he flirtation with Real Madrid, Mbappe is always in the news.
At Liverpool – and under Jurgen Klopp – that wouldn’t be tolerated. Yes, he’s a superstar, but at Anfield he’d be expected to drop that façade.
So, irrespective of the World Cup winners eye-watering potential wages, that makes it hard to see how Liverpool could sign him.

Nevertheless, the Reds continue to be linked with an unlikely move for Mbappe. Reports this week have indicated that Madrid are uninterested in bringing him to the Bernabeu either in January or next summer [Cadena SER].
As a result, some outlets seem to be under the impression that Liverpool are now leading the race to sign the forward [Sport].
With Enrique seemingly upset with his star man, it only deepens the feeling that Mbappe may really leave Paris next year.
But if he does, we just can’t see it being to join Liverpool. We’d happily be proven wrong but even then, Kylian is going to have to fix up.
