After months of rumours flying back and forth, it looks like Liverpool will not be signing Andre Trindade.
The Reds had appeared virtually certain to return for Andre in January, having seen Fluminense block a summer exit for the 22-year-old.
However, reports emerging this week have claimed that it’s now Fulham who lead the chase for Andre.
With Liverpool seemingly intent not to ‘block a pathway’ for young Stefan Bajcetic, it seems they may go with what they have until the end of the seaosn.
Nevertheless, they’ve since been linked with a potential swoop for Andre’s fellow South American Federico Redondo.
According to journalist Emmanuel Luiz [The Redmen TV], Redondo is courting attention from a mystery side within the Premier League’s ‘big six.’ Given his profile as a ball-winning, game-dictating No.6, it simply has to Liverpool. If it isn’t, then it should be.
Liverpool alerted to Redondo option
After years and years of inactivity in the market, Liverpool finally seem to be waking up to the idea that there are some pretty good players in South America.
Having seen the likes of Chelsea plunder teams for their best young stars this summer, perhaps now it’s Liverpool’s turn.
We’re not advocating the kind of scattergun recruitment approach that the Blues employ, not at all. But there’s plenty to be said for taking a calculated risk on a player like Redondo.
Turning 21 in January, the Argentinos Juniors midfielder is not young young. But with less than 60 senior games under his belt, he does lack a little experience.

Nevertheless, the son of former Real Madrid man Fernando Redondo has plenty to like in his game.
Unlike Andre, Redondo is a rangy lad. From what we can see of him, he looks like an intelligent and smooth ball-winner who can destroy opposition attacks whilst simultaneously starting his own.
Watching the youngster, we can’t help but be a little reminded of Fabinho. And isn’t that what Liverpool need? Had Fab’s legs not fallen off midway through last season, it’s likely that he’d still a Liverpool player right now.
As good as he looks, Andre’s game ironically appears to take more from Javier Mascherano than Fabinho. While the Reds could do with a bit of monster Masch right now, Jurgen Klopp’s side were at their best with Fabinho’s long legs stopping all in their path. On this occasion, the Argentinian most represents the Brazilian. He’s the man Liverpool should target.
