With another Europa League match on the horizon, Jurgen Klopp should hand out one more Liverpool debut tomorrow.
The Reds boss has so far given a number of youngsters a run out in the group stages of the competition. The likes of Luke Chambers, Calum Scanlon and James McConnell have all already seen action.
But after he scored a beautiful goal for the U21s last night, Klopp should really consider bringing in Polish prospect Mateusz Musialowski.
Having arrived in 2020, Musialowski has been around the block in the academy. Although he’s long been seen as a ‘special’ player in the making by supporters, the 20-year-old has never had a sniff of senior action.
The forward even almost left Liverpool in the summer, with claims of offers from back in Poland. In the end though, he stayed, and in the early months of the new season Musialowski has once again been underlining what a talent he is.
Last night served up the latest reminder of that. As seen in a video from Sky Sports, the winger bent a delightful curling effort into the top corner from 25 yards against League Two side Barrow in the EFL Trophy.
Musialowksi ready for Reds chance
Musialowski’s goal last night was the perfect message to Klopp ahead of tomorrow’s match in Toulouse.
With Ben Doak only just returning to training after injury, perhaps there is a small opening for him right now.
The Pole couldn’t be doing more at the moment. With two goals and two assists in two EFL Trophy games, as well as three goals and one assist in five Premier League 2 matches, he’s in great form.
If not now for Musialowski and Liverpool, then you get the feeling that it will never happen.

After so much hype of the past couple of years, that would be a real shame. With his contract ending next summer, his Reds career will fizzle out.
Of course, no one is owed a game for Liverpool. If a senior debut never arrives, then Klopp and his coaches will have their reasons for that. But still only just turned 20, Musialowski at least deserves his chance.
Having won each of their first three games in the Europa League this season, Liverpool will surely qualify for the knockout stages. So why not give this young man a go tomorrow?
You never know, maybe the Reds have a new star right under their noses. If you never try, you never know. Give Mateusz a shot, Jurgen!
