Liverpool youngster Mateusz Muisalowski has started the new season well after a slight change of position.
Musialowski has long been seen as an outstanding prospect in the Reds academy. However, turning 20 next week and with one year left on his contract, he’s still yet to make his senior debut.
According to the Liverpool ECHO though, the Polish youngster’s chances of that happening may be about to be revived.

They claim that Musialowski is now ‘thriving’ in the academy having switched from a winger to an out-and-out striker.
Having scored and assisted in last night’s EFL Cup loss to Blackpool’s senior side, the 19-year-old is said to have added the physicality to his game that was previously missing.
His goal last night was a continuation of good form for Musialowksi. The Pole now has four goals and two assists in six games for the U21s this season. Having reportedly been close to leaving in the summer, it’s been some turnaround for Musialowski.
The ECHO claim that he could ‘easily’ have left Anfield amid interest from Polish and Austrian clubs ahead of the new campaign. But having stayed, it seems like Mateusz is determined to make the most out of it.
Musialowski changes position
There are plenty of Liverpool fans who would dearly love to see Musialowski given his chance by Jurgen Klopp.
But, unfortunately, whether he’s playing out wide or through the middle, it does now look unlikely to ever happen.
With the third round of the Carabao Cup out of the way – and the fourth round away at a Premier League rival – Musialowski seems unlikely to get his chance there.

There is still the Europa League to consider. But with Klopp’s forward options plentiful and pretty darn incredible, it seems a tall order for this youngster to get in there either.
Nevertheless, it’s great to hear that Musialowski is still knocking at the door. After a terrific start to life at Liverpool he seemed to drift a little in the last 18 months or so.
But having now tweaked his game slightly and seemingly bulked up too, he seems re-energised.
Maybe this will still lead to a future at Liverpool. With less than a year to run on his contract, the Reds will have a decision to make soon. Let him go for free, and they could be making a really big mistake.
