Liverpool are still interested in making a move for Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs this summer.
Schuurs has been one of the names regularly doing the rounds as the Reds search for a defensive addition. As of yet though, no concrete moves appear to have been made.
However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t offers being readied. Liverpool are named alongside West Ham United as two team who ‘remain at the window’ for Schuurs.
Torino are reportedly not especially keen to lose the man who finished as their top scorer last season. But should an offer of around £34m arrive, it’s claimed that president Urbano Cairo would allow the Dutchman to leave.

Liverpool not giving up on Schuurs
Liverpool’s hunt for a new centre-back has so far largely focused on left-sided defenders.
Jurgen Klopp could really do with someone who can slot into the new system as a left centre-back cum full-back.
If that’s what Jurgen is after, then Schuurs isn’t his man. The former Ajax defender is right-footed.
Nevertheless, the links shouldn’t be written off on that basis alone. Schuurs has been of interest to Liverpool in the past, even heading to Anfield on trial back in 2018. Since then he’s often popped up as being back on the Reds’ transfer radar.
Labelled an ‘aggressive’ defender by Target Scouting, he’d bring some youth and energy into a backline that has started to lack a little of both.
If they do want Schuurs though, Liverpool may have to get a move on. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has today reported that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on him, while West Ham have plenty of the Declan Rice money left, too.
Having reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign Micky van de Ven because of a similar cost, the Reds have plenty to consider. Still one to keep and eye on, this.
