Perr Schuurs has reportedly made Liverpool his main priority this summer, with the Reds strongly linked with a move to the Torino defender in recent weeks.

According to Tuttosport, the Dutch centre-back is favouring a move to Anfield over other interested parties, with the same publication reporting earlier this month that Liverpool have already had a bid rejected by the Italian side for Schuurs.

TuttoMercatoWeb reported this week that Liverpool could sign Schuurs for £35m, and with the defender now putting a move to Merseyside as his number one transfer priority, Jurgen Klopp’s side could soon launch another bid for the 23-year-old.

Interest in the player could be key in Liverpool securing Schuurs’ signature, with the Reds expected to push for s defensive signing having spent big already this summer on midfielders. Yet this update will mean nothing if zero action is made in the coming days.

Indeed, Schuurs could be an excellent signing for Liverpool after his breakout year in Italy last season. And with the player keen on making the switch to Anfield, it’s now up to the Reds to make a second offer for the Torino defender, who could be available for €40m (£35m).
