Trent Alexander-Arnold has published a 145 word message to Jordan Henderson on social media.
Taking to his social media accounts, the Liverpool defender thanked his former captain for his time with the club in a very emotional tribute to the 33-year-old.
Henderson published his own post yesterday addressing the Reds supporters as he confirmed his exit from Anfield after 12 years, with the midfielder set to link up with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Henderson captained Liverpool to Champions League, Premier League and domestic cup glory in recent years and has been an ever present figure in the team since Alexander-Arnold made his debut in 2016.
The right-back hailed his former teammate as a ‘constant inspiration’ and the ‘perfect role model’ as he brings a decade on Merseyside to an end.
Henderson has received plenty of supportive message from former and current footballers, despite the controversy surrounding his move to the Middle East.
The England international joins the likes of Fabinho, Karim Benzema and Kalidou Koulibaly in departing the Premier League for the Saudi Pro League.

Trent Alexander-Arnold took to social media on Thursday, writing: ‘Skipper, where do I start? The one constant factor in my career since my debut. My Liverpool and England journey we have been together since day 1.
‘To have shared every dressing room with you is something I’ll always cherish. A constant inspiration to me and the perfect role model on a daily basis, following your lead meant I was always on the right path.
‘You have done so much for me on and off the pitch, more than you will ever know and for that I’ll never be able to repay you. I’ll always be grateful for the support you’ve given me to become a man and a better player.
‘We’ve shared some of the best moments of our lives together, and achieved things we could only dream of as kids. Here’s to the memories we have created.
‘Thank you for everything my captain.’
