Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were stunned to see the physical shape of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson today.
The majority of the Reds squad returned to the AXA Training Centre today. With only Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott yet to come back, Jurgen Klopp can begin his preparations for the season ahead.
To celebrate the squad coming back together, Liverpool’s official Twitter page have been releasing videos of the players throughout the day.
A highlight from this afternoon sees Salah and Robertson in disbelief at spotting a shirt-less Henderson inside the training complex.
“Did you see this?!” Salah says to an off-camera Robertson “My god! Look at this!”
“Wow! What a body!” yells the Scottish left-back. “That’s all that boxing! What a body, woo!”
Henderson gets in best shape ever
You know you can always rely on Robertson to bring the energy during pre-season. The 29-year-old just doesn’t stop.
With Henderson showing off some training photos on Instagram earlier in the summer, he was always going to be an easy target for Robbo’s ribbing.
It’s great to see Salah getting involved, too. You can really see just how happy and relaxed the Egyptian is at the club and with his teammates.

And as for Hendo? Well, you’ve simply got to just hold your hands up and say ‘fair play.’ The captain looks as lean and trim as he ever has.
It’s clear that he’s aware of the task of now getting into Liverpool’s starting XI. With younger legs now very much available, the 33-year-old’s days as a starter may be numbered.
Not if he can help it, though. You can absolutely guarantee that Henderson will push himself to the limit and beyond to win back his place in the team. That can only be good for Liverpool.
Keep up the good work, Hendo!
