Liverpool are hoping to finalise the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton tomorrow.
The Reds seemingly made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Mac Allister yesterday. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported the news that the transfer was on the verge of going through.
As expected, the journalist has followed this up with another Twitter update this morning. And it’s a good one for Liverpool fans.

“Understand Liverpool have booked a medical today for Alexis Mac Allister,” Romano reported. “The plan is advance on formal contracts stuff today, complete medical then sign contract on Wednesday.”
“Deal until June 2028. Alexis wants move completed before travelling to join Argentina NT.”
Mac Allister set for Liverpool announcement
Throughout the Mac Allister saga, Fabrizio Romano has kept Liverpool fans updated every step of the way. From the beginning, the transfer expert had claimed that the 24-year-old would be one of the window’s early movers.
If all goes to plan, that information looks like being absolutely bang on.
It hasn’t all gone Romano’s way, though – or not yet at least. Brighton based reporter Andy Naylor claimed yesterday that contrary to the Italian’s reports, nothing had in-fact been agreed between Liverpool and the Seagulls.

Although perhaps slightly concerning for Reds fans, football supporters across the world have come to expect reliability from Romano above all.
As a result, we have no reason to believe the events surrounding Mac Allister’s signing will go anything other than what he’s reported here.
That should mean that tomorrow we’ll maybe see the World Cup winner in a Liverpool shirt for the very first time. Perhaps it’ll be Thursday by the time that happens. But either way, it’s coming soon.
Although his will be one of the very first moves of any team this summer, it has felt like an age in waiting. It’s just a matter of mere hours now, Reds. Welcome, Alexis!
