Jordan Henderson has predicted Liverpool to make the most out of their ‘exciting’ attacking options next season.
Even with Roberto Firmino set to depart this summer, the Reds have a frightening amount of firepower in forward areas. When all fit, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are probably the most fearsome attack in the country.
And speaking to Football Daily today, Henderson has praised the quality of the quintet.

“Things evolve all the time. We’ve got new players that have come in in that forward line that are very exciting players,” raved the Reds captain.
“There’s a lot of different things we can do and use different personnel that can do different things really. It’s really exciting, it’s just about putting that together to make the best version of the team. But we’ve got quality players up-front, all of them can score goals so we need to use that to our advantage next season.”
Exciting times for Liverpool’s attack
There hasn’t been too many times over the course of the season when Jurgen Klopp has had all these players available at the same time. But over the last few weeks, he has. It’s been interesting to see how the manager has used them.
With Luis Diaz still returning to full match fitness, perhaps he’s been used a little less than he usually would. By and large though, he does appear to be part of Klopp’s preferred front three.

Elsewhere, you’d have to say that Salah is the only one absolutely assured of his place. In the meantime, Jota and Gakpo both appear to have more trust from the manager than Nunez.
There’s no way that all five can be used at the same time, but as we saw against Brentford last weekend, putting four out together is possible.
On that occasion, Gakpo was the one who dropped deeper into the midfield. It wasn’t always a success, but on the whole the Dutchman did well there. Jota also potentially has the ability to play this role, leaving a front three of Jurgen’s choosing.
On paper, this is one of the best attacks Liverpool have ever had. Fingers crossed once everything clicks and everyone’s fit and settled we’ll start to reap the rewards of that more fully. Exciting times indeed, Hendo.
