Reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham is really keen to make a move to Anfield this summer.
That’s the view of former Reds defender Jose Enrique. Taking to Twitter early this morning, Enrique shared a picture of Bellingham signing a young Liverpool fan’s shirt whilst on international duty with England.
“FSG put the money and get this man,” he wrote alongside the picture. “We all want him and he wants to come.”
Bellingham saga nearing conclusion
The drawn-out Bellingham saga now looks to be heading towards an overdue conclusion. Soon we’ll find out just how much the 19-year-old really does want to join Liverpool.
For a little while now the narrative has been that Bellingham – or at least his family – are leaning towards choosing a career at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the England man, and that admiration is reportedly reciprocated too. There’s a wide-gaping slot open for him in the midfield and the chance to follow in the footsteps of his idol Steven Gerrard. On paper, there is a lot going for Liverpool here. You can see why Jude would be attracted to that.
But judging from some of the reports earlier this week, it may not matter if Bellingham wants to join the Reds. The money involved is supposedly now making Liverpool think twice about entering the race at all.
As Enrique alludes to, that would be an enormous mistake on FSG’s part. Fans have been hopeful of the Borussia Dortmund man’s arrival for some time now. They may accept being outbid by another club if the fee reaches as high as the £110m suggested. But to not try at all will go down extremely poorly.
It isn’t as though Bellingham is the only player who could improve Liverpool’s midfield next season. But he’s clearly the player Klopp has identified and the one the fans are desperate to land. Get it done, and it’ll be a big feather in the owner’s collective cap. Fail, and their popularity will plummet once again.
