Trent Alexander-Arnold has claimed that he loves to watch reported Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham is widely regarded as being the Reds top target in the coming transfer window. And judging from his comments to Joe about his England teammate, Alexander-Arnold would welcome the move.
“He’s an incredible player, especially for his age,” gushed the 24-year-old. “I think deep down only he knows his ceiling, there isn’t really one, he can achieve what he wants to. He’s got everything he needs to go and do that.
“He’s just one of those players you enjoy watching. The sky’s the limit for him, he’s an incredible player and an incredible person.”
Cheekily asked whether Bellingham would be ‘nice to have around the squad,’ Trent couldn’t contain his laughter. “I suppose, yeah,” chuckled the England man.
Liverpool hoping for Bellingham/Trent link-up
There’s no surprise in hearing just how highly Trent rates his England colleague. The pair were spotted spending plenty of time together during the recent World Cup in Qatar.
During the tournament, Alexander-Arnold will have seen up-close why Liverpool are reportedly willing to smash their transfer record to get Bellingham.
For a 19-year-old, he’s unbelievably mature both on and off the pitch. On it, Jude appears to be exactly what Liverpool are missing in the midfield right now. Off it, he’s undoubtedly future captain material.
As Bellingham weighs up his options this summer. Liverpool are still said to be leading the race.
Part of the reason why that is could actually be the opportunity to link up with the likes of Trent. It’s easy to see the two forming a partnership for the ages on Liverpool’s right, while they’re clearly already friends, too.
The sky really is the limit for what Bellingham can achieve during his career. Hopefully that can all be realised at Anfield, alongside his buddy Alexander-Arnold.
