Liverpool would be a ‘different team’ if they signed midfield pair Declan Rice and Mason Mount this summer.

Mount and Rice candidates for Liverpool
Liverpool have been strongly linked with moves for both Rice and Mount as they attempt a summer overhaul.
Right now, the most likely arrival would appear to be Mount. The 24-year-old has a tricky ongoing contract situation at Chelsea and Liverpool look well placed to capitalise.
In terms of Rice, that’s a little more of a long-shot. The West Ham United captain looks set to be on the market this summer, but could command a massive transfer fee.

As a result, if it’s a straight choice between Rice or Bellingham, most Liverpool fans will plump for the latter.
Still, that doesn’t mean that the West Ham man wouldn’t be a good fit for Jurgen Klopp. Full of running and ready to take the next step in his career, you could see him blossoming at Liverpool.
It would be a nice story if that were alongside his good friend and former Chelsea colleague Mount. But as interesting as that would be, we can’t quite see it happening. Bellingham and Mount on the other hand…
