Liverpool youngster Harvey Blair has been spotted promoting the new Jamaica national team kit.
As per Bleacher Report on Twitter, the 19-year-old was included in the release of the new Adidas strip yesterday.
Given that Blair is yet to play for the Reggae Boyz, this is interesting. The teenager is, of course, eligible to play for England too, having been born in Huddersfield.
But this latest photoshoot would suggest that he has caught the eye of the Caribbean side. After impressing for Liverpool’s U21 team of late, that isn’t a surprise.
Blair continuing to develop well
Blair has been playing well for the underage sides of late, pushing for another call-up to the senior side.
The youngster made his debut in the Carabao Cup last season, but hasn’t been given another chance since.
Now nineteen, it’s the right time for him to be looking at securing a first team spot. Obviously, that’s always tricky for an attacking player at Liverpool.
But given Jurgen Klopp’s lack of options up-front, perhaps Blair could still be worth a go this season.

Quick, direct and with an eye for goal, he has the look of the kind of winger who usually thrives at Anfield.
With Mohamed Salah in poor form on the Liverpool right, Klopp has turned to Ben Doak at times this season. And as Doak’s promotion to Scotland’s under-21 side will help him develop, a senior Jamaica call-up for Blair should do the same.
The Reggae Boyz boast Premier League stars like Michail Antonio, Leon Bailey and Bobby Decordova-Reid in their national pool.
Should Blair get the chance to train alongside such players, it could do him the world of good. Something to keep an eye on as his development continues at Kirkby.
