Liverpool are heading up a number of clubs interested in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and are ready to make their move.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport. As per Calciomercato, they claim that the Reds are the only club preparing an offer for the 26-year-old.
The offer in question will reportedly amount to something close to £35m. However, this still falls a little short of Fiorentina’s valuation. The Florence club said to be holding out for around £44m.
It’s claimed that there are other interested parties, too. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the club Liverpool should be most concerned about.

But Spanish trio Barcelona, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are also claimed to be lurking around Amrabat.
The Morocco midfielder is set to return to his club today, with his arrival coinciding with the opening of the transfer window. It could be a busy month for Sofyan and his agent.
Amrabat or nothing for Liverpool?
Liverpool’s supporters’ transfer thirst has been quenched by the signing of Cody Gakpo earlier this week. But it’s clear that there is still a lot of work to be done.
Some, such as pundit Paul Merson, have claimed that the Reds were wrong to go after an attacker such as Gakpo. Instead, Jurgen Klopp should have been putting his energy into signing a midfielder.
It’s hard to disagree too much with that sentiment. Liverpool have a glaring need for reinforcements in the middle of the pitch.

Amrabat wouldn’t be top of a lot of fans’ wish list in that regard. However, the Moroccan is probably the most realistic of the reported targets.
Enzo Fernandez is seemingly on is way to Chelsea, while there’s no way that Borussia Dortmund will sell Jude Bellingham this month.
Moises Caicedo may be a slightly more plausible option, but Brighton will play hardball to get a top-tier fee. So, all in all, Liverpool fans should keep an eye on Amrabat. With the whirlwind of the World Cup now behind us, his signing may start to look less attractive.
But don’t be fooled, he’s a really good player. He was deemed to have been ‘exceptional’ at the World Cup. Liverpool would be lucky to have him.
