Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to meet the agent of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat for the second time, after the World Cup has concluded.
That’s according to Foot Mercato journalist Аnas Bakhkhar, who has spoken to Empire of the Kop in an interview.
“Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp has met the agent of Sofyan Amrabat, we can also mention that his brother, Nordin Amrabat, who has been working on his brother’s career for a long time now, was also there and they both met with the coach,” he said.

“It was a very good meeting; it was positive, and they will be meeting a few days after the end of the World Cup to see if the interest is the same for Jurgen Klopp.
“After his performances in Qatar, the interest shouldn’t change and there will be other meetings to see the demands of Fiorentina, also the demands of his agent – to see if that transfer will go ahead or not”.
Klopp to meet Amrabat’s agent for the second time
With Liverpool looking to add a midfielder to the squad in January, this is a promising sign for the Anfield fanbase.
The Morocco international has been absolutely outstanding at the World Cup. Much to the Reds’ benefit, Klopp had already met with the 26-year-old’s agent before the tournament, laying the foundations ahead of the January window.
Therefore, there is potential that the Merseyside club are further along with the signing than rival clubs, who are now being alerted to his availability.

With Enzo Fernandez and Jude Bellingham touted with moves in the summer, Klopp needs an additional midfielder to make the switch in the winter.
As a result, Amrabat would be the perfect player to bring in. Having demonstrated the physical capabilities needed to perform in the Premier League, the Moroccan would provide great competition for Fabinho.
Therefore, hopefully Klopp’s meeting goes positively, and a transfer for the ‘exceptional’ midfielder can be arranged ahead of the January window.
