Harvey Elliott was pictured in Liverpool training today, despite being taken off against Lyon on Sunday.

Elliott had to be substituted after half an hour of Liverpool’s 3-1 loss at the weekend. Inevitably, this led to worries that the 19-year-old may be facing some time on the side lines.

However, Jurgen Klopp was hopeful after the game that no major damage had been sustained. And the Reds boss appears to have been absolutely right, with Elliott turning out for Tuesday’s session.

The youngster has been Liverpool’s most used player this season. Returns to full fitness for Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may now see him feature slightly less in the second half of the campaign.

But having been described as being ‘magnificent’ by Reds legend John Aldridge, he’ll still be important. Phew.

Nunez returns

That nugget of good news for Liverpool fans was backed up by the sight of Darwin Nunez back in Liverpool gear.

The 23-year-old is the first of the Reds World Cup stars to return. Having been knocked out in the Group Stage with Uruguay, Nunez was able to join the camp.

Despite disappointment for his country in Qatar, Darwin looked to be full of smiles during today’s session. Good to see.

With Luis Diaz set for a spell out, Nunez will take on even greater importance to Liverpool. Good to see him looking fit and ready.

Thiago and Salah share a moment

Speaking of being important to Liverpool, Thiago and Mohamed Salah were also pictured out on the grass today.

With Fabinho and Jordan Henderson not slated to join the camp in Dubai, Thiago is the only one of Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice midfield present. Mo, meanwhile, remains one of the most vital players in the squad.

The two were pictured getting more familiar with each other during today’s session. With Thiago’s new, bald-look itching him, Salah was on hand to give him a scratch.

Nice work Mo, protect the maestro at all costs. Whatever he needs, get it done!
