Sofyan Amrabat’s brother just named the club he thinks would suit the Liverpool target best. The Reds supposedly target a January deal.

Sofyan Amrabat‘s brother, Nordin, has had a lot to say recently. The younger Amrabat has been in sparking form across the World Cup, catching the eye and driving up interest in his signature.

Claims that Fiorentina could sell then increase the chatter – and the price tag. Morocco have been so good, of course, that their best players will naturally catch the eye and Amrabat is certainly one of those.

Foot Mercato claims Liverpool really want Amrabat and have already held talks. Journalist Florian Plettenberg understands the Reds are fans, too.

But Nordin appears to have other ideas. He’s calling for Paris Saint-Germain to sign his brother, saying that he’d suit the club well.

“The World Cup is like the spotlight in the Champions League,” he said, per L’Équipe. “He is in the light, on stage.

“For me, he would suit PSG very well. Imagine a partnership with Marco Verratti, pfff.

“So [president] Nasser Al-Khelaifi, if you read my words, take my brother!”

Sofyan Amrabat’s brother calls for PSG

We’d rather Liverpool didn’t have to compete with PSG for Amrabat, so this isn’t exactly the greatest news. Their bottomless pit of wealth and desire to sign every midfielder on the planet would make it difficult.

And we really believe Amrabat would be an outstanding signing. In many ways, he’s the ideal transfer for Jurgen Klopp this winter.

Liverpool could use a defensive midfielder to bolster their ranks. They could also use someone who’s in the form of their life and on an upward trajectory into their prime years.

And with talk that they’re after a ‘physical’ midfielder to pair with Jude Bellingham, Amrabat could be a magnificent January transfer. So let’s just hope he doesn’t pay too much attention to his brother.
