Harvey Elliott has claimed that Liverpool teammate Kostas Tsimikas is now one of his favourite people in the world.
The two players were recently spotted holidaying together during the World Cup break. Now, speaking to liverpoolfc.com from Liverpool’s training camp in Dubai, Elliott has opened up on the holiday.
“He’s an unbelievable guy, one of my favourites in the world, to be honest. He’s a lovely guy and got a lovely family around him. So to be able to spend time with him, go for food and have a nice holiday with him, it’s great company to say the least,” gushed the 19-year-old.
“If anyone has the experience, you know exactly what I mean! He’s just a bubbly guy to be around, always picks you up, which is the most important thing. If you’re feeling down or you’re not feeling it in the morning, he’s there and he’s always energetic. What a guy and what a player to be around.”

Tsimikas building his own legacy at Anfield
This isn’t a surprise to hear at all, everybody loves Kostas. The ‘Scouse Greek’ has really endeared himself to fans and teammates alike since his arrival in 2020.
He may not have had quite the same impact on the pitch, but he’s certainly had his moments. Tsimikas memorably scored the penalty that won the FA Cup in May and he’s been consistently very good for the last 18 months.
In fact, the competition that he’s provided for Andy Robertson at left-back has driven Robbo on to find his best form once again.
The Scotland captain had dropped off a little dramatically having played relentlessly for several years. But now that Jurgen Klopp knows he can rely on Tsimikas to give him a breather, Robertson has new wind.

Given how little he has played in relation to how good he has been since his £11m move, Tsimikas would be within his rights to sulk. That simply isn’t his style, though.
As Elliott attests, the 26-year-old is a bubbly guy, always joking around and making his teammates laugh. You need those characters in a successful squad.
Although Tsimikas would no doubt prefer to be playing rather than winning the popularity contests, he’s still building a legacy in his own right at Liverpool.
