Liverpool have made an offer to sign AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
As per the report (print edition, page 26), the Reds have already submitted a bid to sign the 25-year-old.
However, the outlet fails to mention whether this is for the upcoming January window, or for later in the summer.

The Algeria international is out of contract in June 2024, meaning he is set to enter the final 12 months of his deal at the end of the season.
According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb and Calciomercato, Jurgen Klopp is the man behind Liverpool’s push to sign Bennacer.
With the player’s contract talks with Milan now currently stalled, the Reds boss hopes to capitalise on the situation.
Liverpool make offer for Bennacer
The defensive midfielder has been absolutely crucial for the Italian outfit this season.
He has already played 21 games this term, six of which were in the Champions League – in which he started in all.
As per SofaScore ratings, the Algerian has been Milan’s best player this season, having averaged an incredible 7.29 score.
Although Bennacer plays in front of the back-line, he leads his side for key passes produced per match. Second only to Fikayo Tomori, he averages the highest number of passes per game, with an 88.7% accuracy.

Hailed ‘world-class’ by journalist Mina Rzouki, the midfielder would certainly be a welcomed addition to Klopp’s squad.
If the club can sign him at a reduced price, this would be a fantastic coup for Julian Ward.
