Liverpool will look to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo if they cannot get Jude Bellingham to Anfield.
That’s according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.
As per his report, although the Reds are doing everything they can to sign the Borussia Dortmund star, the club have identified the Ecuador international as an alternative.

A decision is yet to be made by the Englishman’s team, so it awaits to be seen where Liverpool stand with Caicedo.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been interested in signing the 21-year-old since the summer, when they were touted with a £42m move for the player.
Caicedo identified as an alternative to Bellingham
With all the talk surrounding the 19-year-old England international, Liverpool’s interest in Caicedo may have gone under the radar.
Having joined Brighton last year, the midfielder only returned to the Amex in January after a loan spell in Belgium.
Since returning, the Ecuadorian has been absolutely sensational in the middle of the park for the Seagulls.
Having averaged an impressive 7.12 match rating across the season, Caicedo leads Roberto De Zerbi’s side for tackles made per game and also ranks second for interceptions.

As per Plettenberg, the youngster’s teammates describe him as an ‘exceptional player’ with an exceptional character.
Whilst this is also the case for Bellingham, such praise may have slipped past mainstream attention regarding the Brighton man.
Therefore, in an ideal scenario, Liverpool would sign both midfielders.
However, either player would be absolutely incredible for the Merseyside club at Anfield.
