Trent Alexander-Arnold appears to have become best buddies with reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham during the World Cup in Qatar.
The two players have been spotted sticking closely together during the camp so far. And now, having qualified for the Round of 16 with England, Trent posted a picture on Twitter of the two together enjoying an evening off.
“Stroll in the city with bro,” wrote the Liverpool right-back.
Queue the inevitable replies from excited Reds fans urging Alexander-Arnold to ‘bring him home’
But they weren’t the only ones in Trent’s replies. Bellingham himself also took the time to respond to his new-found BFF, quoting the Liverpool man’s tweet with a ‘hands making love heart’ emoji. How sweet. Now bring him home, Trent!
Liverpool playing their trump card?
As the race to sign Bellingham reaches a crucial point, this could actually be really good news for Liverpool.
Of course, it could be nothing. Merely two teammates of similar age and mentality naturally bonding. Most likely it is.
But also, there’s no doubting that it could be significant. It could be that Bellingham is choosing to spend more time to Trent knowing they’ll soon be clubmates. Maybe Trent has taken him under his wing with the same thing in mind.
Or, on a basic level, maybe Alexander-Arnold is simply trying to convince Bellingham that Anfield is the right place for him to play his football.

Either way, it’s hard to believe that the topic wouldn’t have come up at some stage.
With Jordan Henderson also seemingly playing the role of protective older brother with Bellingham, the 19-year-old has friends at Liverpool.
As clubs with deeper pockets also try to woo the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, this could be Liverpool’s trump card.
It’s impossible to force friendships, and we’d hate to seem needy, but; keep doing what you’re doing, Trent.
