Jude Bellingham has praised Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson for his latest post on Instagram.
Henderson was responding to the recent short documentary made about him by Nike. In ‘Jordan Henderson is Never Done,’ Henderson’s teammates are among those to heap praise on their captain.
And clearly touched by the kind words of his colleagues, Hendo took to his Instagram page to relay his thoughts.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in this ‘Never Done’ series,” wrote Liverpool’s number 14. “What people had to say in it means a lot to me and I will continue to give them my best going forward.”
One of the well-wishers just so happened to be the player who Liverpool have been rumoured to be desperate to land next summer. “Legend,” wrote Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham stokes the fires
Bellingham has been hotly tipped to join Liverpool in the near future. With that in mind, these kind of comments are only going to stoke the fires.
In reality, it’s probably just a young player looking up to an older teammate. Henderson and Bellingham appear to have a good rapport whilst playing for England and the young man obviously appreciates Hendo’s tutelage.
But in the thick of a transfer window with rumours are flying everywhere, fans are always going to see a deeper meaning.
Liverpool are reportedly unsure whether they’ll be able to compete for Bellingham if other clubs come in for him. Whilst they’re willing to go big on the transfer fee, it’s claimed that they won’t do the same on wages.
Without the financial might of some of their competitors, Liverpool can perhaps sway Bellingham with figures like Henderson.
The captain is a superb influence on the younger players both with Liverpool and with England. Bellingham seems to very receptive to learning from his national team colleague, maybe that could play a part in his eventual decision next summer.
