Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson has been filmed scoring a screamer during England World Cup training.
As seen on the ‘Inside Training’ video from England’s official YouTube channel, Henderson curled a lovely effort into the top corner.
Cutting inside Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Reds captain didn’t have too much to aim at.
But opening his body out, he whips a wicked ball beyond the flailing Nick Pope and into the net.

Henderson still looking for World Cup minutes
Henderson didn’t manage to get on the pitch during England’s handsome win over Iran on Monday afternoon.
The 32-year-old has ceded his place in the England first XI over the last 18 months or so. While that’s understandable given the talents of Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, he should see more game time than he does.
Henderson is still one of the key members of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. When everybody is fit and in tune, he’s probably in the Reds best XI.
As a result, you’d expect him to play a bigger role for England. Of course, he offers much more than his qualities on the field. In a young Three Lions team, his experience in winning trophies will be invaluable. He’s brilliant for the dressing room.
But Henderson shouldn’t be pigeon-holed as merely a leader.
As Curtis Jones recently pointed out to liverpoolfc.com, much of the skipper’s ‘amazing’ work on the pitch often goes unnoticed.
Gareth Southgate would be wise to let his vice-captain have a run out in either of the remaining group games. As it stands, that’s unlikely to be from the start. But carry on this kind of form in training and perhaps the manager can still be persuaded otherwise.
