Pundit Ally McCoist has said Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and West Ham United’s Declan Rice would completely transform Liverpool’s midfield.
That’s what the former Rangers manager claimed on talkSPORT, after discussing the need for the Reds to add to their options in the middle of the park.

“That’s where Liverpool want to be and that’s where they should be [competing with the best in the Champions League],” he said.
“I mean, if someday they could get the two of them – [Jude] Bellingham and [Declan] Rice – dear me, that’s phenomenal.
“I’ve said for a long time, I said to you Alan, I was up at Liverpool for the West Ham game when Liverpool won 1-0 and West Ham missed a penalty in the first half. Declan Rice was superb. I’m telling you right now, he was superb.”
McCoist says Liverpool should break the bank for Bellingham and Rice
With all of the speculation involving the BVB youngster, everybody knows just how big of an impact he would make to Klopp’s midfield.
Showing signs of a young Steven Gerrard, Bellingham has it all. His attacking flair and goal-scoring threat is unbelievable to see from a 19-year-old midfielder. Going the other way, he is as equally ruthless in the tackle, making him a strong defensive asset to have in front of a back-line.
With that said, along with such talent comes massive competition. The fight to secure Bellingham’s signature will be an extremely hard task. The biggest and best teams across Europe are all keen to lure him to their clubs, and most of whom have more money to spend than Liverpool.

This is also the case for Rice and the Reds’ previous interest in the defensive midfielder. With the 23-year-old’s fantastic ability to win the ball in the middle of the park, it is no surprise to see the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United interested in securing the Hammer’s services.
Signing one of these two players seems hard enough as it is. But getting both of them seems like something from a fairy-tale at the moment.
