On-loan Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has claimed that he hopes to fight for his place at Anfield.

Bradley has been excelling whilst playing for Bolton Wanderers this season. And speaking via Manchester Evening News, the right-back says he’s aiming to push for a spot in the Liverpool squad when he comes back.

“I’ve found it quite easy to be fair. I’ve just tried to stay as focused as I can on being here and playing for Bolton and giving my all everyday. I haven’t found it too difficult, but I know in the long run I’ll be going back to Liverpool and hopefully be trying to fight for a place there,” said Bradley.

“I’m loving it here. All the lads and the coaching staff, the gaffer, they’ve been brilliant with me, and they’ve all helped me settle in really quickly. I’m enjoying my football so there’s nothing much more I can ask for.”

The 19-year-old also shared that he’s been in constant contact with staff at Liverpool throughout his time away.

“That’s been a big part as well, them keeping contact and keep asking how it’s going, if I’m enjoying it and stuff like that. It’s important that they stay in contact as well, because it helps me,” Bradley explained.

Bradley continues to catch the eye at Bolton

Bradley claimed another assist for Bolton today – his third of the League One season. Added to his two goals, the youngster has five goal contributions in 14 games.

Thats’s impressive for a player featuring in his first ever full season at senior level.

From watching him last year at Liverpool, it’s obvious that Bradley is absolutely full of beans. His enthusiasm to get involved and contribute made him really stand out in the games he played for the first team.

Unfortunately for him, Liverpool went out and bought Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen in the summer. The Scot, also nineteen, is seen as the man to fill in for Trent Alexander-Arnold when necessary.

As a result, the slot that Bradely would be hoping to fill may not be free right now. No matter, because as per his quotes in MEN, the Northern Ireland international is also happy to play further up the pitch.

“I feel like I’m quite versatile, I feel like I could play a couple of positions. I wouldn’t mind playing right-wing, I feel like I could do a good job there and also full-back, that’s where I play for Liverpool so anywhere on the right,” he said.

“I think so that it would be full-back, but it’s good to have another string to your bow, being able to play on the wing or as a wing-back so I always keep my options open.”

With Liverpool’s right-back one of the best around, that’s probably a good idea.
