Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Andy Robertson won’t play for Liverpool against Brighton tommorrow.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference via Liverpool FC on YouTube, Klopp said he’ll be missing a quartet of players at Anfield.
“Some are still out doing rehab,” he said. “That’s Robbo that’s Curtis [Jones], that’s Oxlade [Chamberlain] that’s Naby [Keita]. Definitely these four [are injured].”
Asked how long Robertson would be missing for, Klopp painted a positive picture.
“He’s doing really well,” he explained. “It looks really good, he won’t be out for long. The international break helped a little bit. He’s already out on the pitch running – good sign. I don’t know if it will be this week or the week after. I don’t know.”

Robertson set for spell out
Robertson had already been suspected to be out for tomorrow, but Klopp has now confirmed it.
At this stage it also looks likely that the Liverpool left-back will be missing for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Rangers, too.
This represents a small issue for Klopp, with two games coming so close together. With Kostas Tsimikas the only other natural left-back in the squad, he’s likely to play both games.
That shouldn’t bother Kostas who will be desperate to prove why he should be starting more regularly.

But with such an intense schedule, he has suddenly become incredibly important to Liverpool.
For Robertson, that could be a sign of things to come. The £160k-a-week man was already starting to see his game time reduced in favour of the Greek.
With an injury now forcing the manager’s hand, Robertson can only watch on as Tsimikas puts his claim forward to be the Reds first choice left-back.
A big opportunity knocks for the 26-year-old. Let’s see if he can take it.
