Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been spotted in conversation with reported Reds transfer target Jude Bellingham.
As per Football Daily, Henderson was seen chatting to the Liverpool target as they sat out of England training yesterday.
Along with Declan Rice, Henderson and Bellingham were reportedly working on their own fitness programmes. As a result, instead of being out on the grass with their teammates, the trio headed inside to work individually.
Hopefully this can give the Liverpool skipper the chance to convince Bellingham that his future lies at Anfield! Have a word with Rice while you’re at it as well Hendo, it can’t hurt.
Liverpool looking to exploit Henderson advantage
As per The Athletic this morning, the race for Bellingham is starting to heat up. Liverpool reportedly see the 19-year-old as being the box-to-box midfielder they’re missing.
In that respect, the Borussia Dortmund man would very much be a replacement for Henderson.
Liverpool’s No.14 has served the club with incredible distinction since arriving for £20m 11 years ago. But he’ll be thirty-three next summer. The time feels right to line up his replacement.
Liverpool won’t have a clear run at Bellingham though, far from it. As a result, relationships like the one Henderson has built with the youngster can be all important.

Bellingham clearly admires the England vice-captain. When you’ve got the pick of four or five top clubs to join, these little things must feed into a player’s decision.
And Liverpool will need all the help they can get. With nothing but an enormous transfer fee satisfying Dortmund, the Reds won’t be the best-backed horse in this race.
Nevertheless, according to journalist David Ornstein, Bellingham remains a ‘dream’ signing for Liverpool. They must employ all the tricks in the book to convince him to join them.
