Jordan Henderson has been impressed with the performance of Liverpool youngsters Stefan Bajcetic and Tyler Morton in training.
Asked about how the two midfielders have been doing by liverpoolfc.com, Henderson praised their quality.
“The young lads have done really well again coming in to training here. It’s a big ask when they’re only seventeen, eighteen year olds,” said the Liverpool captain.
“They’ve been brilliant in training, done really well in the games they’ve played and the future looks bright for sure. I’m sure there’s a lot more young lads coming through that aren’t here now that’ll be ready to go in a few years.”

Bajcetic emerges as a real option for Liverpool
Morton has been around the first-team for the best part of a year now, and is by now a known quantity.
The 19-year-old was recently rumoured to be on the verge of completing a loan move to Blackburn Rovers. However, he remains at Liverpool and has played his part in pre-season for The Reds.
Bajcetic on the other hand would have perhaps been completely unknown to a big portion of Liverpool fans.
He certainly isn’t now. The 17-year-old has been a revelation whilst playing the ‘Fabinho role’ in pre-season. It was telling that while Morton got just 15 minutes against RB Salzburg on Wednesday, Bajcetic got a full hour.
Jurgen Klopp has obviously been impressed with the young Spaniard.

With Liverpool often struggling to replace Fabinho in games where he’s injured or unavailable, Bajcetic’s emergence could be a real blessing.
There shouldn’t be too much pressure placed on the teenager, though. He is only seventeen after all. It isn’t easy to break into Liverpool’s first-team and he has a long road of development ahead of him.
Early signs are very positive though. We can probably expect to see Bajcetic in the early rounds of the domestic cups this season.
If his loan deal doesn’t materialise, Morton could play a decent number of games too. Exciting times for Liverpool’s young guns.
