Villarreal are willing to offload reported Liverpool transfer target Arnaut Danjuma this summer.
That’s according to The Express, who claim that the Spanish club are ‘keen to do business’ for the Dutchman.
Having missed out on Europe last season, Liverpool’s recent Champions League semi-final opponents reportedly need to raise funds.
Danjuma is seen as being a prime candidate for them to do that. However, talks between Villarreal and West Ham United for the player have broken down, with a deal said to have ‘died.’

It’s claimed that both Liverpool and Manchester United have ‘monitored’ Danjuma in the last year.
Danjuma looking for a way out
It had looked as though Danjuma might have found the way out he was looking for with a move to West Ham. With that now looking off though, Liverpool might sense an opportunity to knock down Villarreal’s asking price.
It’s arguable whether The Reds actually need the forward or not. But what’s clear is that he has been on Liverpool’s radar in the past.
The player himself was keen to hammer home this point when speaking Dutch media in May.

“I have been informed that Liverpool followed me closely,” the former Bournemouth winger told Ziggo Sport via Voetbal Primeur.
“I’ll never lie, I think it’s a bad trait if you’re not ambitious. And if a club were to come along that offers me a higher platform to play, I should always consider that.”
Good price for a squad player
Danjuma reportedly has a release clause of around £34m in his Villarreal contract (El Peridico Mediterraneo).
That sounds like a pretty big price for someone who wouldn’t be considered as a starting eleven purchase.

With Villarreal seemingly keen to sell though, and the player wanting to test himself back in England, perhaps a deal could be done.
Any fee would surely have to eclipse the £21m or so that Villarreal paid for the Holland international. Subsequently, it would still make Danjuma a relatively big signing.
Seen through the lens of the deal that Liverpool have done for Darwin Nunez, though, it doesn’t look too bad.
If the window drags on without a solution being found for Danjuma, there would be worse options than Liverpool trying their luck with a low bid.
