Trent Alexander-Arnold and Achraf Hakimi are in a class of their own. That’s according to Morocco manager Vahid Halilhodzic.
The Serbian made the comments about the Liverpool player to Goal after his team beat Malawi on Tuesday.
“You can see this boy is one of the best talents, and one of the best players in the world in his position,” Halilhodzic said of Hakimi.

“Him and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the two best full-backs in the world.”
Hakimi had just scored a brilliant free-kick to ensure Morocco beat Malawi 2-1 to advance into the Quarter Final of the tournament.
It was a goal similar to those that Liverpool fans have come to expect from Trent.

Halilhodzic’s views on the Scouser certainly aren’t ground-breaking. Liverpool fans have know for years that the academy graduate is a special footballer.
But nevertheless, it is still brilliant to hear Alexander-Arnold being name-checked by coaches around the world. The 23-year-old, along with Hakimi, is a blueprint for how full-back’s can be a creative fulcrum for teams.
Mbappe weighs in
Halilhodzic wasn’t the only one to give his views on this matter on Tuesday. As a result of Hakimi’s performance, a certain Kylian Mbappe took to Twitter to give his take.
“Achraf Hakimi. Best RB in the world. Good night guys,” wrote the Frenchman.
Mbappe is obviously inclined to stick up for his club-mate. But we prefer Halilhodzic’s view of things. Perhaps Kylian needs to come to Liverpool to do the comparison up close? I’m sure his mind would be changed the second he latched onto one of Trent’s trademark cross-field switches.
