Mateusz Muisalowski continues to shine for Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup. The Polish 18-year-old scored twice last night as Liverpool Under-18s beat Burnley 4-1.
The result means that the young reds advance to the fifth round of the competition where they’ll face Chelsea.
Musialowski scored Liverpool’s second and fourth goals to put the game to bed inside the hour. The double means that the exciting winger has now scored five goals in just two FA Youth Cup games this season. He scored three of Liverpool’s four goals in the last round against Fleetwood Town.
The Pole is still yet to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s senior team, despite some clamour for him to be in the squad. He has trained with the group but is yet to make a matchday squad.
After another goalscoring performance last night, fans on Twitter think Klopp should reward Musialowski’s fine form with a look-in alongside Mohamed Salah and co.

After a superb debut season at Liverpool in the under-18s, Musialowski has found the step up to under-23 level more challenging. But dropping back down to the younger age group, it’s clear that he is far too good.
Part of the youngster’s problem may be that he has a similar game to that of Kaide Gordon. Being left-footed, both would probably line up on the attacking right of Klopp’s 4-3-3 system.
Gordon has obviously stolen a march on his older teammate in that respect. That isn’t all down to ability though. Musialowski had the mis-fortune to be injured during pre-season meaning he didn’t get a chance to properly show what he can do in-front of senior coaching staff.
More displays like this will mean they can’t afford to ignore his obvious talents for much longer.
