‘Ridiculous’…Some Liverpool fans are in awe of Jordan Henderson pass vs Manchester United

Some Liverpool fans were in awe of one pass from Jordan Henderson vs Manchester United. The 30-year-old was imperious in the middle of the pitch.

What a performance from Jordan Henderson. The captain had to play a holding midfield role at Old Trafford as Fabinho couldn’t start the game.

Yet he kept things together, held Liverpool tight, and helped keep United quiet. In fact, even with two injuries to midfielders, Henderson didn’t blink.

But one moment stood out. Henderson created Liverpool’s fifth goal with an utterly sublime pass to set up Mohamed Salah.

Picking up the ball in midfield, Henderson looked up and used the outside of his foot to find Salah. He danced the ball in front of Harry Maguire, curling it around him and removing him from the move.

Salah, of course, did his bit. He controlled the ball on the run and lifted it past David De Gea. 5-0, game over, what a win.

Liverpool fans react to Henderson pass

Understandably, Liverpool fans took to Twitter to applaud Henderson’s assist. They applauded what was an outrageous piece of skill, with some comparisons to Steven Gerrard.

We picked Henderson as one of Liverpool’s best players in the win and we stand by that. He was brilliant but that assist really was a standout moment.

In fact, it was a standout moment from the game full-stop. Even as the Reds bagged five goals, Henderson produced something worth picking out.

What a player and what a performance. Few midfielders are the total package as Henderson is, playing a world-class defensive role but showing the quality to create a goal as he did.
