Liverpool's 3 best players as they run riot 5-0 vs Manchester United

Liverpool beat Manchester United 5-0 on Sunday in an all-time great performance. Here are the three best Reds on an incredible day.

Mohamed Salah

Only one place to start – unbelievable. Three goals and an assist at Old Trafford in one of the all-time great Liverpool displays on that ground.

Salah, who’s now the highest-scoring African in Premier League history, enjoyed the freedom of Manchester at times. Let him have that space and there’s little doubt that the Egyptian tears you to pieces.

He did just that and Salah was the key man for Liverpool to win 5-0 at United.

The world’s best player? Anyone watching this can surely only come away with that conclusion. Another unbelievable performance. Sensational.

Naby Keita

We only got 61 minutes of Naby Keita after a Paul Pogba horror tackle. What an hour it was, though.

We’re going to call this Keita’s best in a Liverpool shirt. The way he got forward was magnificent, scoring once, assisting another, and helping to create a third.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

United simply could not handle Keita’s ability in midfield. They couldn’t handle his movement, nor his creative threat. Defensively, too, Keita did all Liverpool needed from him.

It’s awful how he left the field, of course. Hopefully, we see Keita return soon because this is the most promising he’s every looked.

On this kind of form, Keita looks like one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Now we just want to see it again soon.

Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson had a much more difficult game than you’d think. He played the holding role in Fabinho’s absence, having to keep things tight against an incredible United attack.

Could he cover Bruno Fernandes? Could he martial the midfield to limit United’s space? Yes, he could.

Even with both Keita and James Milner going off early and changing the plan, Henderson kept things going perfectly. A real captain’s display.

And that pass for the fifth? World-class.
