Liverpool won’t like the look of a new report on Karim Adeyemi. The Reds are supposedly big fans of the 19-year-old.
This comes from Sky Germany. They claim that a host of elite European clubs are now looking at Karim Adeyemi. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Inter all have eyes on the teenager who continues to light up the Champions League.
Adeyemi, who currently plays for RB Salzburg, has three goals in three Champions League games this season. He’s also quite ridiculously won four penalties in those games as defences struggle to handle him.
The German is scoring for fun in the Austrian Bundesliga, too, and earned his first cap for his national team this year. It’s no surprise, then, that Europe’s best want the striker.
Liverpool won’t like Karim Adeyemi report
We’re huge fans of Adeyemi and he’s looked impressive every time we’ve watch him play. For a 19-year-old, Champions League football appears to come very easily to him.
In fact, we wrote just yesterday that Adeyemi looks like a magnificent signing as he scored against Wolfsburg. That came after Austrian outlet Orf claimed Liverpool wanted the player.
But they’re far from the only outlet to make that link. Sky Germany even reported last week that Liverpool had asked about Adeyemi. Goal believe the Reds have had eyes on him since 2018, while the Athletic say he had a trial at the club in 2016.

So this new report is bad news, then. Liverpool’s best chance of signing Adeyemi for anything resembling a reasonable fee was if the competition remained light. Instead, major clubs are lining up to look at the striker.
Even if Liverpool do end up signing Adeyemi, it’s now going to be at the high end of his asking price. In fact, it may now be that his asking price soars with the increased interest.
The Reds may be left wishing they’d made a move before now.
