Liverpool fans are furious today. The Reds haven’t done much business during the window, we operate on a sell-to-buy budget and there hasn’t been much selling. As a result it has been even more disappointing to learn that Liverpool could sell Jordan Henderson. Kopites are livid.
Jordan Henderson at Liverpool
When Liverpool signed Jordan Henderson a decade ago he was a precocious young midfielder from Sunderland.
He was noted for his crossing ability and spent a lot of his time on the right wing for the North Eat side.
His first years with the club were difficult. There was even a time when he could’ve left for Fulham.
However, as the years went on he grew in confidence, stature and ability – the arrival of Jürgen Klopp was the making of him.
Hendo became club captain and led us to English, European and world titles.
He is a club legend.
Jordan Henderson contract problems
Liverpool are currently assessing who stays and who goes.
The Reds need to sell players to raise funds for incoming transfers.
Meanwhile, some stars are entering the final years of their contracts and will need tying down to longer deals.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool are having problems with Jordan Henderson and his contract.
His current deal expires in 2023 and there’s allegedly no progress being made over an extension despite talks taking place.
Atletico Madrid and PSG are said to be potential suitors if the captain were to make a shock exit from the club.
Kopites are livid that FSG haven’t just given Hendo whatever he wants. In fairness, he deserves that.
