Liverpool have to make some additions before the start of the season. Jürgen Klopp has to rechallenge for the Premier League title after a disastrous defence last time out. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool transfer plans will focus on wingers first.
Liverpool transfer exits
We’re expecting to see a raft of players leave the club this summer.
The Reds need to raise funds for incoming transfers and selling off fringe players is the best way to do so.
Xherdan Shaqiri is expected to move on with Lazio interested.
Meanwhile, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic are believed to be on their way out after a sequence of loan moves.
Furthermore, Neco Williams and Nat Phillips could depart in search of regular first team football.
Incoming Liverpool transfer plans
The Reds are shy of quality in depth in the front three.
According to Fabrizio Romano this will be the focus for Liverpool transfer plans, the journalist told Anfield Watch:
“What I’ve been told is that the strategy for Liverpool is not immediately going for a midfielder, but I think they want to wait. Their priority is to go for some wingers.
“Then at the end of the market maybe some opportunity may be open for some midfielder. We need to wait a bit on this deal, but they have always been appreciating Renato [Sanches] and he would love to go back to the Premier League.”
What RTK has to say
We’ll need to get a move on.
With Manchester City being linked with Jack Grealish and Harry Kane whilst Manchester United snap up Jadon Sancho, we can’t be left behind.
The Reds need to act decisively, this could be a vitally important transfer window for us.
