Liverpool need to replace Gini Wijnaldum this summer and doing so will be no easy task. The Reds will have a shortlist of targets, one name keeps cropping up as a potential signing. Thankfully, Brighton are open to selling reported Liverpool target Yves Bissouma.

Hole in the middle
Liverpool have lost Gini Wijnaldum to PSG on a free transfer.
The Dutchman’s departure is an awful blow for Kopites. The midfielder’s absence will be felt keenly.
This is because he played nearly every Premier League game during his five year stint at Liverpool.
As a result Jürgen Klopp will need to bring in an equally durable middle man.
Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can’t stay fit for a run of games, meaning we can’t rely on them to take on Gini’s role in the side.
Curtis Jones could be too early in his development for the responsibility. We need to sign a successor.
Liverpool target Yves Bissouma update
Just who the Reds will end up bringing in is anybody’s guess.
Reported Liverpool target Yves Bissouma has been talked about at great length.
The Athletic claimed the Reds’ interest in the midfielder and cited a £40m price tag for the Brighton man.
The Seagulls’ technical director Dan Ashworth has told The Athletic:
“We’re also realistic and if one of the top clubs comes in, it’s a brilliant move for [Bissouma] and it’s financially right for us, then no problem.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool would be a ‘brilliant move’ for Bissouma, wouldn’t it?
The Reds have also been linked with Florian Neuhaus and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The club is in for dozens of midfielders according to the gossip columns. We can rest assured that the Reds will either sign none of them or the one nobody has mentioned yet.
Everyone gear up for a Michael Edwards surprise.
