Liverpool are heading into a decisive transfer window. This summer couldn’t be more important. There are plenty of decisions to be made and one reported decision will have Kopites ecstatic. Liverpool will not be sending Caoimhin Kelleher on loan.
Potential Liverpool outgoings
This summer will likely see mostly permanent exits from Liverpool.
The Reds won’t be looking to loan more than a handful of players this term.
We can expect Harry Wilson, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri to be moved on.
Whilst there is thought to be plenty of interest in Marko Grujic.
These exits will likely fund a couple of big signings for the Reds as Jürgen Klopp looks to banish memories of a disastrous title defence.
Caoimhin Kelleher loan decision
One player who won’t be going anywhere is the Reds’ number two.
According to the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool have no intention of letting Caoimhin Kelleher leave on loan.
This is in direct contradiction of a Daily Mail report which claimed the club wanted the Irishman to get some regular first team football elsewhere.
The ECHO goes on to claim that the Reds are hopeful that Adrian will sign a new contract with the club over the summer, despite interest from Real Betis.
What RTK has to say
This news will delight Kopites.
Many Liverpool fans were worried about Kelleher leaving on loan and reinstating Adrian as number two.
The young goalie had an impressive season for the Reds, standing out during his sporadic appearances in Alisson’s stead.
Fingers crossed we see more of him next term, a cup run would do him good.
