Report: Liverpool to send Caoimhin Kelleher out on loan; fans gutted

Liverpool are going to be sorting through the side this summer. There’s some deadwood that needs to be moved on and some youngsters need game time. Liverpool are reportedly set to send Caoimhin Kelleher out on loan and fans are gutted about the news.

Caoimhin Kelleher loan

Last season we saw Caoimhin Kelleher promoted to number two.

The Irishman stepped in for Alisson Becker on a number of occasions during the campaign.

He played twice in the Premier League and twice in the Champions League, keeping clean sheets against Ajax and Wolves.

His performances were outstanding throughout and left many fans thinking we were in safe hands should Alisson pick up another injury.

The Daily Mail has reported this week that Liverpool plan on sending Caoimhin Kelleher out on loan this summer.

The Reds allegedly see him getting regular first team minutes as a vital next step in his development.

Adrian staying

The same report has claimed that Adrian will sign a new deal with Liverpool in the coming weeks.

The Spaniard had been linked with a move back to Real Betis this summer.

However, it appears there’s been a change of heart in the Liverpool camp.

The experienced goalkeeper had lost his place in the pecking order to Kelleher last season and will be restored as number two when the Irishman makes his loan move away.
